I just opened the door slightly (not all the way as you dont get so much leverage), grabbed the bottom of the door and lifted the car up a bit by the door! It bends the hinges enough to get them to line up nicely. Make sure you don't over do it though!

Just takes time to get them to look half way decent, but saying the I dont think they ever do so if it really bugs you splash out the cash and get and original one its the only way to be perfect.
I only bought pattern ones for my caddy as its only my workhorse and couldnt justify spending the money out on genuine wings

As for the doors do a quick search this topic was covered in great detail only a few weeks back.
