MK1 Golf GTI 20vt

Hello all!!
I am Alex from Botley, Southampton I have been part of this forum for quite a while now! I use to own a Black MK1 Caddy it must be 10 years ago now! after selling that and missing it I picked myself up a Black MK1 convertible, sold that as I needed to commute further for work.
after a few years i ended up Importing a Honda Civic type R (EK9) loved that car to bits but it had to go to fund a house!

Now the house is sorted its time to start another project again,

A friend of a friend was selling his 1983 MK1 Golf with a 20vt conversion for a good price so I had to snap it up!

My plans for the golf are to get it back to a nice fairly original look and feel (except for 230BHP) She needs a new interior as it was stripped out and a few patches of bubbling/rusty paintwork looked at:






  

Impressive car history and this one looks to be a decent next option. Like the number plate and always think a mk1 tin top suits no rear wiper, cleaner tailgate.  Enjoy the power upgrade too!
