Hi all - as you can see I have a rather large welding job to do
I’ll need to remove the dash for this, so I’d like to ask for advice from anyone who has removed a dash from a mk1 cabrio - as I don’t want to remove more than I need to,
So far I’ve removed the steering wheel and dash fascia , what’s the next steps ??
Cheers!!

If the lower part of the dash is stillscrewed to the knee-bar there are about 3 screws that have to be removed.
remove the 2 screws holding the heater controls.
remove the center vent or ash tray
To safely remove the center vent make 2 wire pulls bent as shown.
Insert them in to the center vent at the corners and turn them to catch the rear of the vent and pull out.
Then Pull the dash to the rear of the car to release the windscreen clips, then lift up and over.
What do Divorces, Great Coffee, and Car Electrics all have in common?
They all start with GOOD Grounds.
