The bulb and bulb holder are both good and the wiring from the lamp to the plug on the slam panel is all in order.
Electrics and me are not a good combination and a friend mentioned it could be a relay problem but I've come to a dead end here as my knowledge in this area is pretty phoeble.
Any help appreciated.

I do know that I am anal about getting bulbs with Brass Bases versus the Steel Bases. I have heard that they are spraying a coating of lacquer on the steel ones that may have to be sanded off to make good contact.
Most issues I have had are corroded or worn sockets.
In the HELP section of our parts stores here you can buy replacement sockets and springs to renew the internals.
I can remember on my 81 diesel that I ended up soldering new and taller pads on my sockets to make better contact… and using the Brass Based sockets on the bulbs.
What do Divorces, Great Coffee, and Car Electrics all have in common?
They all start with GOOD Grounds.
