It's all standard as far as I am aware.
I agree with your comment that it looks a little high. This is something that I will look into resolving.

30mm drop is a nice look and ride for a Mk1. Eibach springs Bilstein shocks are a good kit to get.

May change the original wheels for some larger BBS rims.
There's the height as pointed out, so that could be the first thing that needs to be looked at.
As for anything else, looking to stay pretty stock.

And after a year or two the springs and top mount will have settled down losing 20-30mm (if they are brand new now)

Really nice example of a GTI there, are you thinking of keeping the two front headlights or down to one each side with a badge less grill?
