About the cover that goes over the steering boot, do you think it would be easy enough to fit that with the engine and everything else in place? It looks like a very worthwhile addition.

You must have the patience of a saint to prepare all the wee bits for cleaning and painting. It looks truely fantastic, loving the zinc plating.

I don't know if I have the patience of a saint but I don't rush things - slow and steady and all that.
Yes I'd say it would - the heat boot folds out almost flat and is the thickness of about 2mm. I cut the thread or stitching back slightly to get a snug fit on the boot. the two fasteners snap together and it hasn't budged after the 400 mile trip I did between saturday/sunday. I also have a heat shield bolted unto the manifold and its also wrapped and heat painted too.

So here it is, take a long weekend and come over to Vienna, Austria and sort this out!
Untouched since to day it was put together at the factory, well apart from servicing.
All the beer, Schnapps and Schnitzel you can handle.
Can't say fairer than that!

Thanks Mike. I'm checking out flights ask we speak.
Bit of a problem getting the engine crane on as hand luggage at the moment.
Nothing wrong with the original look either.
Yes we Crane!
Original is great, that's the way it should be but yours looks a tad better than mine!
I love what you've achieved my friend, it is simply mind blowing I only wish I had all of your skills.
In fact I'd live Happly with 25%!
A flight to Austria still stands anytime your ready for a visit.

Thanks for that I think I may just purchase one of those for a bit of extra heat protection. When I was in there doing the rack boots I noticed the boot was split slightly so I might just do the lazy easy fix and wrap one of those boots around it
