 just a quick little update all suspension parts clean and painted(photos to follow) keeping then in my caravan at moment, just ordered some parts from vw heritage 10% dec

Have been cleaning engine bay waxoyl   :roll: with thinners and rags
Then wire wheel on worst areas

Then my new best mate from the bodyshop gave me some acid etc primer not the aerosol but the 2 part toxic stuff put that on with a brush (it's like piss)

Then he lent me one of his old spray guns and mixed me up some primer

Which I then sprayed on, took a little getting used to the gun but no runs its hard to cover the whole area but without too much on one spot

Thats it for the time being would like to get the topcoat on before Christmas but the temperature in garage is low at mo. :dontknow:

 got some stonechip and air gun today and applied to lower engine bay area

One top mount is on back order and I forgot to order track rod end, I'll try Gsf in week
Also I am deffinetlly  going to top coat the bay this week  :x

Looking forward to an update mate this is going to be a minter when she's finished.

Have been able to get top coat on, I think it's looks quite good for a fist attempt at spraying just a slight orange peel effect but not too bad bad  :?

Have covered both inner wings with underseal, looks loads better than before, I think I should do inside outer wing with it as we'll but ill,ask bodyshop before hand.

Waiting for the new steering gaiter to come which I won on eBay before I tighten up the steering rack etc
Then the next step is to build up both suspension units and get fitted so I can drop the car back to her wheels again.

I keep meaning to use my camera to take shots with because these are a little poor but it's so easy to upload from my phone.

Nice project you have there, Engine looks great now, Will look nice in that new red bay!
