Yeah painters don't ever seem to be in a hurry tbh it's probably better that way in the long run.

That said, you were going to pay a grand sorting this engine, can you not get a top notch second hand engine for less now?

After the fiasco I had with the first 20V T I bought I managed to get another locally which has now been re-bored, new pistons etc etc. I am now going to attempt to rebuild it, never done this job before so any help would be great. Straight away I have some questions as I really want to get this right first time
Now here's the questions lol. I have a haynes manual which tells me to turn the crank until all the pistons are half way in the bore, to stop any chance of the pistons hitting the valves. I did this. It then tells me to fit the head and put the head bolts in in sequence but only hand tight, then go through the tightening stages. Before I do this, I need to know how to put the bottom end back in TDC, the haynes fails to tell me this. At the minute my head is on with the head bolts finger tight.

I've also had some news from the paint shop, apparently I have fitted the N/S sill in correctly and it needs approx 10mm of filler to fix it, which to me is no good, so he is going to have a new sill fitted, just means there's a slight delay, not too worried though, I'd rather it was done right!
