abf over run

got a problem with an abf that overruns when you rev it and takes 3-4 seconds for the revs to start to drop and means you have to do very slow gear changes. ive looked at the throttle cable and its not sticking and tried cleaning the throttle body. i had a good look round for air leaks and could not find any and have tried a different isv from a kr engine and made no difference.

anyone got any ideas

if im honest im not sure myself but ill have a crack at pointing at some ideas.

do you have any air leaks

check the throttle on the back of the inlet manifold that its not rubbing against something or there is no debris or dirt reducing its smoothness of movement

if you have diagnostics then check throttle position sensor

hopefully that may help fella

check the idle switch is clicking ok, once you get diagnostics you can check it as per this thread (get the label files too makes life easier!)
