Roller on cambelt 20v AGU

P@ssing about with me engine as we speak, finally removed a stubborn aux belt pulley hex bolt( stud extracter job) ,so now able to carry on renewing cambelt. Have removed the auto belt tensioner, renewed water pump. Need to make a 8mm stand-off for new 16v tensioner….what do you chaps do??  Question i have is, when removing the auto tensioner with roller attached, do i need another roller fitting, and if so ….how??
