Classic Door Leak Cabrio
On both passenger and driver sides.
My roof has holes where the front most fold is.
It drips onto where the seat is.
Comes more from the frame as opposed to where the roof meets the door window.
I am getting the roof replaced in mohair by carhood warehouse in chessington.
Just wanted to confirm would the cause of this leak definatly be the rips where the front fold is.
Or could something else contribute to this.
My theory is that its going in through the holes and going into frame before dripping on my thigh.
Please help people.

Just had the hood replaced, and have had a fair bit of rain since. (touching wood) there's been no leakage since - not even a drop.
Therefore, I'd get your hood replaced first and then see what happens after that - hopefully the problem would have already been fixed

Hoods over time loose the waterproof ability and become porous.
The water seeps through the roof and ends up going into the roof frame channels, eventually finding the way out via the handle area.
It's a common cabby problem, usually indicating a porous roof.
Make sure they use a sillicone/mastic bead about 2 inches long around the front screw hole backwards on the front metal, rubber seal holder.
What state is the headliner in etc, it may be wise to replace what components need doing as you cannot change the headliner etc without stripping the roof first.
you can do the hood yourself etc to save some money.

Ill speak to one of the staff at the place in chessington where im getting it done. I was really wondering.
Vinyl
or
mohair.
I personally thing mohair looks a bit too new for the car sometimes but does mohair last much longer i was originally just thinking mohair but am now unsure.
Or furthermore what is the average lifespan of a vinyl roof vs mohair.

Looks a hundred times better.
As for looking to new for the car I think they compliment the car better than vinyl.
