How did you hear about this site?

It was less of a recommendation, but more of a "have you seen this for Mk1's (not jjjjjjeeeeettttaaasss).
Was really early days for this site though, I joined straight away and became member number 91

I was looking for info on the mk1 on google when i was looking to buy one and stumbled across the site.

i came over from the campaign register when drew switched it over.
i must have one of the smallest post counts per time on here  :?  the site has been very helpfull though
i hope to contribute more for 2011

thanks mate  :redfaced:  !!!  Bert deservedly won too… really looking forward to the AGM this year.. you and your daughter were in front of us in the 80+ convoy of mk1's and looked like she really got into it standing up taking pics when we were stationary down that hill… AGM convoy was immencse!!!!!!!!!  I'll dress up too… Brucieboy needs no invitation to dress up… he was a thunderbird last year… bloody awesome!!!!  

A fair few are old-school here which is brilliant to see…. probably strange seeing the club evolve and being part of it from the start… I hope to be here a long, long time  :mrgreen:

I found the original 'Campaign Register' which Drew had started when I was looking  on the internet to buy one. In those days you could go on holiday for a week, get back and only have a few dozen posts to catch up on in the forum!

As things developed I ended up at the 2004 Gaydon meet which Dano mentions above.

Drew called the meeting where it was agreed we'd all set up the MK1 Golf Owners Club and the rest is history!
