Just finished restoration! Mk1 GTi 2 years of graft
I have had a full engine rebuild, top end, bottom end, properly engineered, cam laid in professionally, all parts new… new sensors everything!
Yet the oil buzzer still comes on when run up to warm at idle speed. I have tried everything… read every comment on the web about the problem but cannot resolve it. I have run a separate light bulb to the sensor to bypass the circuit board on the dash board and that still lights up when the engine is warm and idling and then goes off when revs above 2000…
I have replaced the high and low pressure sensors twice each… they are brand new… is there anything else I should be looking for?
Could the head or the engine block be cracked? If this wasn't such a common fault I'd be more worried but id like to resolve the problem because it is the only bit left that betrays the cars age.
Also how do I upload images to here, I am sure you'd all like to see the quality of the end result.

Make sure the switches/wires are the right way around. One is open then closes under presure and the other closed then open.
