Twin 40's weird noises
stuck a set of twin weber 40's and a 421 manifold onto my 8v and ever since i got it runing, at about 2000rpm, it sounds like i have a serious hole in my manifold. A loud exaust tone coming from the front of the car that sounds like an engine being run without any exhaust.
this noise is only present for a range of about 200 rpm and while lower or higher than 2000 the car sounds great.
I thought maybe my exhaust manifold was coming loose, but all the bolts are tight
Is this a normal sound to hear when running twin carbs?
Cheers

What 'zorst are you running?
My old pug used to resonate like hell at a certain rpm, you just have to get used to it and avoid it!
Projekt Frustration :
White 1991 Clipper. Lowered over polished zender rims, Single 40 dellorto on lynx manifold, kent cam, full stainless 'zorst / manifold, powerflex bushed and braced. Not the fastest car, but sounds super nice!
Still going after 12 years… never said it was a quick fix! Time is not my friend.
