MK1 GTi Cab

Hey guys,

Got a few random switches and unconnected sensors on my MK1 GTi cabriolet Kjet engine. Can someone identify which is what and what should plug into them as I'm confused and want to get this engine running perfect, last image is of the UFO shaped sensor thing bolted to the airbox/metering head and has a broken black wire. cheers guys!

1st pic is a water temp sender, we usually run something like that when using an aftermarket ECU. 2nd pic is supposed to be the block breather, must have a  breather pipe coming out of that hole that got plugged by a random sender. 3rd pic I've got no idea.

Edit to add: The small sender on the oil filter housing is a temp sender, normally used for a gauge.

In the 1st pictue I thought the big sensor with the brown connector 2 wires, green and red is the termo time switch, a temperature sensor which tells your 5th injector to work when the engine is cold.
The other sensor infront of the other one with the spade connector and the wire just about hanging on is the temperature gauge sensor, if you remove the connector the temperature gauge in the car will not work and if you short it out on the engine block it will read max.

2nd picture don't know as nothing like that on my 1988 DX Gti car? You have a different oil filter housing than me with 2 sensors on so guess ones the oil temperature on the other oil pressure and I don't have the blue sensor at all has some one fitted a different engine block?

3rd Don't know as can't even tell where the picture was taken

1. thermoswitch for 5th injector, and the dash temp sender all fine here though the dash temp red/yellow wire is past its best could do with a repair

2. that blue one shouldn't be there its an ecu temp sensor used to block the breather outlet, looks like you have a 2.0 bottom end which is nice! if it works, leave it be  the small white one is oil temp sensor for the mfa, it should have a green/black wire but its only there only if you actually have MFA dash and wiring for it mind. the one on the right is oil pressure switch and again wire looks a bit ropey

3. might be the cold throttle enrichment valve? if so its a metal valve on the back of the airbox with a black and white wire?
