The car that is built to make you smile..

I live quite close to central London, Bethnal Green just outside Whitechapel / Aldgate, the brown bit on the monopoly board..

Even so there's no shortages of fancy ass cars around here, so the other day we got to the end of my road, me and the lady in my golf and a Lambo, matt black, comes down the road and turns right into the junction I'm trying to turn right out of - a group of lads, probably 16-18 are going mental for it, as you'd expect.

However as it disappears, I hear them talking and one says to his mate "did you see that" and he said "yeah that there" and points to my golf, to which his mate said "no you idiot the Lambo" and his mates goes "oh no I was too busy looking at that" - which is obviously a nice compliment!

To which my mrs goes "did he seriously just say that" and I said yeah and we pull off, so I'm explaining to her (only had my car back on the road for a couple of months) that golfs are rare and you see Lambos all the time, to which she disagreed, obviously, I'm never right… or so you'd normally think so, no more than 100 yards down the road, we turn left and bam - black (not matt this time) lambo, same spec, everything.

Morale of the story, I was right (for once at least!)

 

You do not honestly believe that you are right in her mind, she has allowed you to believe that but it will come up again - women have elephant memories !!

lol i took my mrs to the cinema the other weekend and we parked in gunwarf quays underground carpark!!! when we came out i found a napkin under one of the wipers and just thought some lil scroat had just been to lazy to find a bin. but when i took it off i was suprised to find someone had wrote i f*****g love your car on it lol

I drove out the other night, about 10pm around old street and some girl stopped and took a photo of my car, mrs wasn't happy then either!

I don't know why it goes so much attention, not like it's even in that good condition!

He was obviously pointing to your wife who was in the Golf.

Last summer I took my friends son out for a spin in my Rivage. While we were driving through Wilmslow, he noticed a few heads turn and he pointed that out to me. To which I told him "You would be amazed how many people look at it, because you don't see many anymore!".. Just at that moment, whilst pulled up at the traffic lights, a guy in an convertible orange lambo with a black stripe down the centre of the car, pulls up next to us and starts going mental for my car. Going on about how good it looks on the road and how he always wanted one when he was younger bla bla.. We chatted to him until the lights changed and then carried on our way. At no point did any of the three of us mention his Lambo..    

There's a workshop near us building fake Lambos on MR2s  so common round here it's untrue.
