how soon do you think before you start selling the hoses . . . .  roughly i could do with some straight away i need them to drive golf because my old ones are shot and i need to renem my mot by the 14th sept

Hi all,

The hoses are away being priced for tooling etc.  Colour options are black or blue.  These will not be made by samco but will be of equivalent quality made in the UK.  Not Chinese rubbish that rips easily

My supplier is trusted and will be able to provide a good speedy service.

The price will come down to how big the batches are - a batch being one colour.  My intention is to stock these in black as standard but can do blue if the demand is big enough.

The hoses that are being priced are:

Top rad and bottom rad (same hose)
Metal pipe at back to thermostat housing
Metal pipe to heater control - anyone got a part number for this?
thermostat housing to heater coupling
heater pipes - both the same

I also and having the metal pipe that rots being looked at as well as the thermostat cover that the top rad hose connects to.  Can also do the coupling in the heater hose.

Will keep you updated of progress….

Need you guys to make a firm interest list along with colour - can somebody start a list off.

Once I get a price in for the tooling etc I'll be able to get a good idea of delivery times and will be able to give a good idea.  My best estimate is about 4 weeks - could be 2 weeks could be longer.

Soz to be vague but I hope to have a better idea later in the week.

Expecting an update tomorrow from the supplier

OK got costs in on these now:

Retail price for a full kit (7 hoses) will be ?117.50 or as an alternative a smaller kit which excludes the two heater hoses at ?105.

This is the retail price, but I can offer the kits at 5% discount for a group buy of 5 or more kits.

Delivery will be about two weeks once the group buy is confirmed.  This is quite an outlay for me in terms of tooling and batch size - I'll need to order 20 kits to make this viable.

All prices include VAT.
