All red rear lights?
I can't say for sure…it may be worth a shot.
But thinking about it…As you don't have an orange lense with them being clear lights? Its probably best to use orange led's and resitors.
Customers tend not to let me know what works and what dosn't for each make/model. I wish they would then i could take note and help others…

It's not the best pic in the world but you get the idea.

These are a set of 'pink' All Reds.
 Only joking mate.
Most aftermarket reds tend to be a bit opaque/pink…Unless you go for the crystal/m3/lexus! stuff.
These are Nicks clear lights covered in Red Lamin-X.

ive wanted to do this for ages (buy a proper set)
i painted with glass paint a normal set of rear lights on a gti and the looked exactly the same, but the red was so thick that the bulbs didnt flash through well at all, and the colour was just red.
do ANY of these lights anyone has mentioned still flash an orange colour when indicating etc?

its red, but still clear enough to see the orange underneath.
So whats the best method to get round this?
All the red ones ive seen are deep red, like on the link to that site.
Does anyone know if they flash orange? by some miracle?

An orange coloured indicator is easily achieved using Lamin-X
Either green bulbs, or orange led bulbs with resistors.
Green bulbs will work with some light units, orange led bulbs will work with all.
Hope this helps.

I don't supply them, although i have thought about it…
I can always help point people in the right direction for whats needed, and how to connect up the resistors if they are needed.
I can be emailed through the site at any time too.

They do flash yellowish but there so dim I wouldn't use em - Dont think they'd be safely visable on the road in daylight - probably ok at night but not worth the hassle.
Led's next

I'd be careful there too mate. You need to get serious jobbies with as many LEDS on the bayonet as you can get and the trouble with that is that they don't fit through the hole for the bulb! You also need to get resistors to stop them flashing like crazy.
TBH, I'm yet to see one I think is as bright as a standard bulb but then, I'm no expert.

I'd love to go all red but pink reverse lights put me off a little.
Now if I understand this right, If indicators only need weak light to show through eg: Mk2 lens, a green bulb will show orange.
If srong light is needed eg: Corrado lens, An orange led is strong enough to show through as orange, Am I correct?
Now by that same principle, If a white led was used in reverse would it show white through the film? or be a lot less pink at least?
otherwise Its smoked tint which is a second choice really.
The film will be apllied to M3 style crystals.
Cheers!!
