help please - won't start

Reset timing to zero.
Still no joy but almost.
What are other markings for? Is that to advance/retard timing?
Leads connected lead 1 to cylinder 1 then 3,4,2  clockwise.

Nudge it more and more advanced then. Might be worth marking 0 deg TDC with tippex, so you can go back to it if needs be. Squirt of cold start too, although phatts will tell you if you use it, your wife will leave you, your washing machine will overflow into your kitchen, and your dog will go mad and bite you.

I shone a torch in carb while kranking engine and no fuel appeared to be flowing! I disconnected fuel inlet from carb and kranked again. Petrol flows from chamber/pump to carb inlet and I see it returning to tank, no problem.
What do I do next?
If you pull the throttle cable a little jet of petrol can be seen in carb for each pull. This doesn't happen when just cranking.

spray some eze start in the carb and see if it fires if it does try and keep it running :wink:
