Incidentally, just had a look on Guinness Book of Records, nothing Mk1 convoy / parade size wise. BMW record 107, anyone fancy beating it  :scratch:

What a cracking idea! What are the possibities of progresing this further?!

Largest gathering of mk1! Now that would make this owners club unique!

My job's transport logistics so I'm happy to volunteer my services in assisting arranging a world record attempt  8O . Doesn't have to be on the 29th, but as one doesn't exist we could start the ball rolling (I'll check it out regards having it ok'd). Then each area breaks it, then one big major one at the AGM. Record is 500 (Fiat owners) but whooping the BMs would do for starters  

Would a mod please be able to make this thread a sticky so it gets maximum exposure

Had a look at application process and I reckon it'd be a more than valid claim.

Last time it was at a pub called the cat and fiddle nr buxton in the peak district, very nice scenery and drive to get there !
