Mk1 Golf Cab

Un masked the shockers.





Stripped the gear linkage down and the steering rack and give that a lick of paint.







Test fit.





Stripped the engine down from the box and took all the gubbings off it, then degreased it.

Started the painting on the engine the other day.






Carried on the painting today…













 Primed the water pump.







 Painted and clear coated.







Masking off











Happy with it so far, the paint claims its good upto 800'c let see eh?

Can't wait to see that engine back in the bay.

No option now but to paint mine (but that will have to be next year)

looking good this is what im doing to mine just got engine out and ready to start rubbing engine down keep up the good work!

wheres your bumpstops on your shocks natham ive got som cool spring compressers  if you need them

mate your work is certainly paying off your cab is going to look fine.

Painted the gearbox today. Done all the linkages too.



Will build it back up tomorrow.

Well its been a while. Not much done on the cab due to other cars being in and out.

Dug the cab out from the rear of the unit and started to get on with it, hopefully be finished for this summer.  8O
