MK1 OC Annual Show 26th,27th July 2008
I'm going to be there both days
I see that they have go-karts there aswell as other things going on perhaps we could have a competition on them, Tin tops v Soft tops. What ever it is going to be a bit of fun if all is well.

Cant really afford to hire a trailer to drag my mk1 up behind the camper..
so if anyone from berkshire etc who's going but not in a mk1 wants to drive mine up there instead then let me know.

We have approached the peeps running the karts and they can do us a deal, we just have to see when we can fit in in.

I have a trailer but the round trip costs to collect and return it would be sky-high! Can you bring just the Mk1 and a tent?

I know what you mean, I'd want to use a camper if I had one :y:
but……………

Coming to the Mk1 Owners club's AGM/Weekend and leaving a roadworthy mk1 at home   it doesn't seem right

I'll be leaving a perfectly decent Mercedes and Mk1 Scirocco at home, because I'll be in my Mk1 Golf and camping in a tent. Being at a Mk1 Golf OC meet without a Mk1 Golf, isn't quite the same. (Fully respect those who are still coming for the love of the Mk1 tho!)

Well if anyone wants to send me ?60 for the trailer hire, I'll happily drag it up behind the camper..
Plus MrsLawsy will NOT stay in a tent cos of her bad back

Nope.. no ones forcing me at all..
I dont own a tent and am not going out to buy one, plus airbed, sleeping bags blah blah blah just to please you lot..
I have a perfectly adequate camper that is cool… No one moaned last time when they were sheltering in it drinking me tea…
Whats the fascination about what vehicle I'm coming in anyways, this year has been a nightmare for me and to finally get a banger of a mk1 has been a massive acheivment for us, so if its staying at home then so be it, I cant afford to hire a trailer and Wendy doesnt drive.
I've asked if anyone in this area who is going but not in a mk1 wants to drive it up there, no takers
So for the last time, drop this conversation cos along with this and the trailer one its really starting to bug me…
so unless anyone has a SENSIBLE offer then shut up!!!!
