My gti project

Well after buying my black campaign from jacob on here a few months ago its been a real labour of love! Theres something about this car that i just love ive got the mk1 bug big time. Ive wanted a mk1 golf for years and im proud to own this lovely example.

When i got the car it was a completely standard campaign.





First thing i did was get a new clutch fitted as it was sliping badly.

Then i changed the grille to a single headlamp.



And tinted the rear lights red and also removed the stripe on the tailgate.

After that came a set of fk silverlines to bring the car closer to the ground.



A few hours later and they were on.

I then felt the need for a bit more dish in my life and got my self a set of rsl cults 8x14 all round et20 front and et15 rear.



Once fitted they did the job nicely 8)

i love this car, it's all about the subtle mods.

interesting how there's only a 5mm difference in offset but soooo much more dish in the rear!

I also added an omp stainless exhaust into the mix which i would really recomend it sounds awesome :mrgreen: And it looks standard too!





Scince then ive also added some unbanded german plates.





Anyway hope you guys like it. Im getting all the arches rolled next week and a few other bits done soon so ill keep this updated.

This car is used everyday for work etc as its my only car. How many people use there mk1's as daily's cause it doesnt seem like many poeple do anymore?

There you go john. I think they could do with spacing out 5 or 10mm.

i'm a sucker for wide 14s  ops: nothing else looks as good on a mk1

Yeh it does rub slightly on the back but that will be sorted this week once i get the arches rolled.

 Then i can lower it more aswell 8)

should look spot on, i hope i can get that much dish out back on my images

Agree, reckon they must be among the best looking alloys on a MK1 :mrgreen:

very tidy, i like the randomly parked trolly's in the car park also, lol
i will be using my golf as a daily as of tomorrow. it will be my only car, but i will get summin else to keep the miles off it

how does it handle on fks as im getting some soon

yeh handles really well mate, not so good with 8's up front but ill be selling my rsl's soon as ive just bought some new wheels

hey dude! how much were those cults? expensive i bet, did you get the tyres with them or seperatley, what size are the tyres? much streatch?? they would suit mine so so much!!!

Hello dude the cults were ?650 in all then i got the tyres seperately 195/45 falken ziex and they were ?200 in all. The strectch is quite nice 8)
