Cornwall spring Mk1 get together?

Tried cabriolet Dave a few times but i think he's phone has gone bad or he's changed his number and he's moved home,i dunno where too.seen him on the road this week in a vx astray OH NO!

 Peg1's Tafy is of the road too with carb trouble(can u help her out baller?)

And matt in his nimbus cabby if he's not sold it(i keep trying to talk him out of sellin it at least until after the meet)

Those of you that are planning to go to Smokey's at the end of the month might not of known that I have two Mk1's.I am selling my Gti as I am also building a kit car and I just don't need 3 cars plus where I keep the Gti the house is up for sale so I am likely going to lose the garage where the car is kept
I only live about two miles from smokeys so if anybody wants to see it if interested then it is no more than a five minute drive.
I am now off to where Cabby Dave was living to see what I can find out.

I went over to travellas where I thought he was and spoke to a guy there but he hadn't seen him for a while and didn't no how to get hold of him so I am no further forward on that one I'm afraid.

I have reciently heard that Dave is living up near St Agnes beacon,but his car has been written off?.I havn't had any luck with his mobile phone number,doesn't seem to be working. A bit of a shame if the car situation is true as that would be one less Mk1 in Cornwall.Perhaps he will look out for another one and join us again at a get together in the future.

Just a last post to wish anyone and everyone a safe journey to the meet tomorrow.Hope your all washed polished oiled and watered,i been at it all day and i not got far to travel to this one! Still have some last minute jobs to do in the morning,does it ever end?Im knackered!!!

hey it was really good to see everyone at smokey joes. really impressed with the turn out. all the golfs were fab, be nice to see more next time, especially those of you who couldn't make it well hope to meet up with you all soon

Nice turnout of cars,Nice people to go with them and nice weather,What more could you want.Great pics aswell.Thanks to rustmuncher for getting things going hopfully next time if all is well we might get afew more.If any of us see a Mk1 on the road we will have to stop them and try and spread the word.

Hey everone thanks for coming along and a shame that some of you couldnt make it,maybe next time.
Eleven mk1's in total seven tin tops and four cabriolets!(although not all together) had a line up of eight for most the time and nine once.No caddy's where were you?





I got sunburn too redneck matches my car lol!
A great day and a good mix of cars thanks again to everybody that made the effort and turned up!
