Well it runs :D

But on the engine mount where it bolts to the block, the 2nd bolt across from the left, its seeping oil from there which is a bit strange

Post

Its not an oil leak from the bolt it was just old oil and petrol behind it that was coming up with the heat

Anyway, door sanded down and the tinyest dents in the world filled

Door primed

Bought this today to do me wing. Cost me a tenner. And wow its mega  Whips the paint off with no effort at all

Here it is standing proud

A little touch 8)

As it stands at the mo, hopefully door and wing on and painted at the weekend

Take a deep breath! I know what you mean though, when you think you're finished and you see something else.  The quality of the finish will be in the prep though so don't rush it!

Dab a bit of knifing putty/stopper in the holes and sand, shouldn't take long

Wheel bearing needed doing, Got it all off and pressed out by garage up road from me. Cleaned all hub up then put the shield back on with new bolts etc as some I had to drill out

Wing and door on, primed, flatted. Flattened bonnet also. Ready for paint!

In the spray booth

Oops how did that get there

The father painting

Bad news though at the moment. Dads spray gun is a back of poo seen as its mega old so its gone on crap and too much etc and its run all over. So gotta flat it off in the mornin, dads gonna go an buy a new spray gun and it will be re-done tomoz

Here we have one home made red surround grill

Gutted about the paint but nice job tbh.

Nice job!
However, is that 2-pack or celly your Dad is spraying in the pics?
Reason I ask is that despite a lot of misinformation those masks are NOT suitable for 2-pack paint, as told to me by the 3M tech boffins. Only suitable option is an air-fed mask. Wouldn't want him to irreversibly damage his health, that's all. Cheers.

Its 2 pack mate, he used to be a pro sprayer so he knows

Update today

Very very crap day for project power house today, but turned out well in the end.
Flatted off the paint after the spray yesterday due a knackered spray gun. Dad bought a new spray gun and another half litre of paint. Painted it again. Paint re-acted and it just went terrible all over. Looked a rite mess. So flat it all off AGAIN. Took about 3 hours, I was just fed up at this time, was ready for having a paddy and throwing in the towl

But got it flatted off, paint went on. And it went on mint. Looks awesome. Well pleased. Also painted front panel aswell

Started putting front end back together,  oh yes lovin it

Hmm shiny

Woooo
