mines got a tiny dent in the same place on the left hand side, not sure how it got there, but I am pretty sure it's about shopping trolley height  :evil:

They look like brake off some old hot rod.

Looking good though, i guess they can only be turned a number of time before the casing gets too thin.

They remind me very much of the brake drums from Porsche 356's -

Quality car mate. Love the colour. Those drums are awesome. Are they the same size as the series 2 rear drums?? They'd look the dogs on the back of mine!!

No, the drums are slightly larger

Decided to get the old girl out last week but she wasn't playing ball. Cause was a leak between the carb flange manifold. Made up a new cork gasket (quite pleased with the result) and she was purring like a kitten again

very nice. personally not a huge fan of the louvres but i have to say, they definately add to the retro look well. and the interior is really smart.
you have loads of golfs :O maybe you should get rid of a 1.1 to someone hahaha
