got on with stripping the underseal from the footwells, no rust at all 8)

and up the firewall behind pedals etc, not a single spot of rust (what is actually used on the floors? and what have other people used to replace it, it's lasted 24 years so far, so might as well replace it with as near to the same thing as possible)

can't believe how solid it is, i was expecting a bit of rot before i started

started chucking it down tonight at the unit   , a few holes in the roof that need seeing to, even started dripping on the car, the cheek of it  :twisted: , got a sunroof, which is no longer in and it was dripping inside and i was getting on with the footwells.

had to give up and stick my new cover on, thanks steve!! (lawsy)





my mate took some photos of the inside (my phone camera is shoddy), but his phone ran out of battery before he could send them. we'll get some more tomorrow.

she's pretty much a bare shell now, just windscreen and wings to come off now

btw, i've got a couple of sets of nine spokes sat about with non road legal rubber on them if you wanna borrow some to keep your rims safe during the resto.
they're there if you want 'em.

got a few photos sorted out now, car's only been in since monday, so it's been a few evenings and today, and there's not much left on it really  

didn't get a whole lot done today, fitted some sheeting over the roof outside and chucked some tyres on, but could only reach far enough to cover the mk1 without climbing on the roof (asbestos), couldn't cover the mk2, shame :p

well yeah, mine's perfect compared to andy's… i really wouldnt want to tackle that.

hahaha i didnt really want to do it, but its my grandmas and shes selling it, and she said that i could keep the profit over what she wants for it (h) and i reckon theres about 350-400 quid in it for me.. thats why

mum has donated her camera for a while, so lots of pics to come soon
