My chickens are fantastic!!!!

Got them Saturday afternoon, by yesterday most of them were outside starting to behave like real chickens! You would never think they'd spent their whole life in a cage in a shed!

Mind you, I did manage to get one that looks like it's going to be a bit 'special'. My son said it's definitely retarded!!!

Gearbox self destructed Fri/Sat   

Being sorted sometime next week. Pete breaks up for the hols Thursday so he's got next week to do it with no pressure. I don't break up for another week, so I can use the caddy or he'll run me in.

if its worth anything, i have a spare mk1 golf gearbox in my garage that should fit the bill, just needs abit of a clean and it should be good to use if your intrested.

We've actually got a couple in the garage, but Pete needs to check them out as he's not sure if they're both ok.

He may well give you a shout if neither turn out ok. (One should be good though!)

 

The good thing is I get a decent third gear back. The one that's in now came out of the blue golf a couple of years ago and has always had a snick in 3rd. You have to double-declutch to change down to 3. Not much cop on the bends that!!     8)

i will be coming sporting a new bigger turbo. but still in the same multi coloured paint job!!!!  did want to get her all one flat colour for this show season but havn't really had a chance yet!! oh well i wont win no prices this show season, unless i'm the only entrant somewhere again lol

I think you should keep her like she is. Maybe we should put her on the Polishing Company stand and see what they can do!!!  :wink:

dont think you seen it since i changed the front wings from the old nearly rotted away ones!!!!  ones red and ones grey lol

think the polishing stand will call the local scrap merchant to take her away.

Know of a young lad restoring a MK1 down the road, and I've spotted a silver cabby on a drive on the old A120 past the Green Man on the way to Stortford.

I saw the yellow one a couple of weeks ago with the bonnet up! I work near you so drive past alot. Just wondered if its a Gti???

I drive through stansted to get to work so i won't miss this! I got the day wrong last year    i'll make sure i don't miss this one!

The yellow one isn't ours, we're 'babysitting' it for Neil (who I organise the show with).

Him and hubby work on our van and their golf together. It's a series 1. 1.3 I think.
