cool, well if i hear anything ill definately keep you updated. Police are pretty useless though, 2 car windscreens down my road have been smashed in the last week and they didnt even turn up the second time.

i just left mine in the council car park in guildford… and came out to some scratches in the lower quarter… apparently caused by a drunk falling over.

You are right though - you can't have anything nice nowadays.

A bit different but a friend of ours that had a MK4 R32 parked it at her Nan's awaiting to be sold, during the night and stole the entire INTERIOR!! They took everything - I mean everything.
     

Unbelievable! No alarm went off - they just smashed their way in - thankfully her Nan didn't hear anything or she would have gone outside and got in the way!

3 months at VW and ?10,000 insurance later - the car is finally back…. too jinxed to keep her any longer! Must have been an inside job, must have been being watched!

Oh, and just 2 months before every panel was keyed, so had only just had a full respray!!
