new Volkswagen website

I just can't stand a company which can't even look after its old models like the mk1 golf. This car in my opinion made the company and certainly saved it. If you owned a merc or bmw, you'd easily be able to get old parts. I wonder if  old audi suffers the same fate now that its a bit more separate (showrooms/garages). I always feel like asking/finding parts for mk1 golfs at a VW dealers is like scavenging - no-one seems to do bits like distributors etc. Maybe vw realise how much better there old cars are and made the mistake thinking they never need spare parts!!
Newer cars may be better in some inevitable ways but I do think that the cars on the vw dealer's forecourt are less grabbing in real terms and generally uglier - like many newer cars no passion.
