I no longer have the Mk1!! I now whizz round in a Black 1990 3dr Mk2 GTi 8v but the roof doesn't fold back when the sun shines :o

A guy by the name of Jimmy G has a rivage with a de tuned s3 engine.. Claimed 275 bhp and 5.5 seconds to 60mph… Not sure if this has already been mentioned in this thread.. But surely that must be up there with the quickest cabriolet's….  :)

all this talk is getting me fired up to get on with my ABF 2.0 16v conversion :twisted:  with megasquirt and bike carbs i should be seeing 180bhp.  more than enough for a wobbly chassis i would have thought?

does anyone know how much heavier the cab is than the tintop?

Megasquirt is fuel injection, you don't need it if you're using carbs - unless you're using it only to control the ignition.
