Need to lower my mk1 cab. Advice please

Doesn't matter which way round the helper spring is. I have Weitec coilovers and the helper spring is at the top, though, if it helps.

Turns out the helper springs were at the bottom. I dont think it makes any difference really tho.

The only thing I can think of is that the compressed helper spring + the middle spring seat + the 1st wind of the main spring, will be better at the top, so that they cover the exposed part of the damper a little better. But all the springs are designed to sit on flat spring seats, so it wouldn't matter which way they're in - its still going to do the same job.

Whats the ride quality like now?

Yeah raised it a bit in the end. Im still hitting the bump stops now and again. but all in id say the ride quality is pretty good. Its better than the standard setup i had before anyway.
