I'm a late arrival on this thread. A bizarre choice of thread for a bloke to submit on a car related site I feel. I'm glad you're happy with your hair but hasn't the barber missed a bit at the back ??

Another point about todays wild array of haircuts….I'm mystified by what drives the current crop (gettit ??) of barnets. In my day it was music that had a big influence on choice of style but. Sticky up hair suggested a leaning towards punk, long hair meant heavy metal, skinheads were into ska/punk etc. Hairstyles said a lot about the person but nowadays the style is not a clue at all. It's all very confusing. Is it Gareth Gates fault ? :dontknow:

i like dance, metal, punk, hardcore, classical, female vocal.

its simple if you spend more than 2 mins doin your hair you have issues!!!

im 20, evey lad around my age seems 2 have hair straightners and have a 200 quid toni and guy hair cut with blond highlights (pretty boys)! i cant get my head aroung the idea! its crazy. some girls go for it but they seem to be the stuck up ther own a** type! with 3 inches of make up on ect ect!

I think music still has a big influence on hair cuts.

For example there are still skin heads who listen to punk/ska

people sporting the long hair listening to rock

a big influence now that may not have been around when your talking would be indie, probably starting amongst students taking after their favourites singers cut. Bands like The Enemy and Arctic Monkeys.

for example look at mine and johns hair, similar age, into the same sort of music (so it seems) indie-pop. quite long but with abit of style. I dont know if john goes to college but they are pretty much student hair cuts.  8)   

errm there is also Emo hair like medium length black hair swept over one eye, listen to .. errm cant think … loada depressin crap like 'my chemical romance'

there is still mod hair cuts, shaped like weller in the jam or maybe even Noel Gallagher. People who listen to that music like Brit Pop and go to scooter rallies , 'brighton beach' etc.

I think spikey hair is now out of fashion but im no expert? that was as you say gareth gates style early 2000's fashion lol

then obviously there's the scallies, short back and sides, listen to dance music. (not sayin everyone with short back and sides is a scally!!)
