Floor mat set?
I'm looking at protecting my original carpet with some floor mats (I know… got bigger things on the Mk1 to worry about )
anyway, thought if it were possible, a Mk1 Owners club floor mat set would be a really nice touch
sets I've been looking at vary in price from ?15-?30 depending on quality
think it's something that might be worth doing/achievable?

Not a bad idea phil, but the logo is a little detailed for mats i'd have thought..
would be a nice touch tho, maybe someone should ask Newton what they can do, and if they can then rather than a bulk buy, just have it as a to order direct from them option…

The reason I'd vote for rubber ones is because they are easier to clean. A sponge and soapy water and a good jet wash and thats it.
The material ones retain dirt and no matter how much you (I) vacuum them, they never come 100% clean. I've even tried jet washing those too but again they don't get really clean.
Just my opinion though.

The crappy old ones in my car still come up alright. Don't like the idea of a pool of water sitting about in my footwell when it's raining, at least carpet absorbs it.
Plus, it'll make it feel like you're driving a van, which would be rubbish.
Beat the crap out of them with a stick for a few minutes. Relieve some stress and probably the best way to get the dust out

I'd go for carpet ones every time mate. Rubber's best left for the tyres! The carpet ones are easily washed with a VAX.
