Help, intermittently losing power then cuts out.

cheers, i will try that, just waiting to get hold of some hose to bridge the pipes together.

While i was there i saw a perished pipe, can someone tell me what it does and if it could be part of the problem?

see pic below, its the pipe going from my airbox to behind the weber carb.

Thats part of the vacuum set up, change it as any leaks of air will reduce your running, but i would be also looking elsewhere for you fault fella
