ok guys i need threads or pictures of anyone whos tried to spoon a mk2 syncro system in a mk1

ive searched all over the web but come up with nothing just want to see how they are mounting it all

There was a 4wd mk1 'Rocco in VW the other month.

But it's not a mk1 Golf.

And it might not have been a Syncro.

Paves the way for R32 engine, though….?

the 4wd drive part is 70% going to happen all depends on weather i can pick the donor car up from southend oh and how as its not road leagl now

as for the engine my options are

g60 but there gay
16vt lots of engine work
20vt already got one
vr6 pauls doing one
v6 bi turbo yes please

out of the above the 20v is looking the best option at  the moment  

oi less of the gay g60!
that's my plan for next winter
i'll be 19, should be fun on the insurance

Id been thinking about doing a 4wd mk1 for a while but i was thinking about using quattro running gear from the TT.... :scratch:

its not the insurance that expensive its getting the charger built once a year

thats a monster engine

mate of mine has a rover v8 lump and auto gearbox hes desperatly trying to get me to put it in there

hes just fitted a kr lump in the front of a mini so hes my best pal at the moment

Does anyone know if an R36 has the same bellhousing and engine mount position, as a VR6?

iirc they are the same block arnt they so this would mean it will fit even if it is different it will fit

I suppose I could take a trip to Harrow with my flywheel and gearbox, and see if it fits.
