wow, looks like this should keep you occupied over the winter!
what are your plans for the car, keep it a 1.3 or is an engine conversion on the cards?
if you are changing the interior, first dibs on your door cards! (if you have them all)
i have a driver with the same interior as this and some pillock painted the door cards with dark brown paint  :banghead:

1983 Polo CL - daily

1984 Golf G60 Syncro - sold

1989 Rallye Golf - sold

1992 Corrado G60 - crushed

1989 Polo C - chopped and crushed

1991 309 Style - crushed

it's getting a 1.4 ABD code engine out of a mk3 Golf, with multipoint fuel injection from a Polo GT, Schrick cam, Ashley 4 branch and Janspeed GTI exhaust

the guy i got the car off has the interior  :(  if he's selling it i'm sure he'll put it up on here

only reason the passenger door card is still there is cos he forgot to take it off

sounds like a sweet set up there paul, cheap insurance and tax, and should see off little corsa boys nicely

no worries about the interior, if it appears, it appears, not in a position to be shelling out cash at the mo; didn't put my hours through for last week on time, and off work all this week with tonsilitis so 2 weeks pay down  :banghead:

it's actually more solid than the mars red driver that i bought 4 years ago…….and that car cost me ?600, had done nearly half the amount of miles & was MOT'ed

started off like this

looks like this now

has cost me a little over ?3000 (inc. buying the car) to get it to what it is today

this gold driver isn't getting done to the same standard though……….cos i don't dare leave the red car in carparks & and i won't drive it in the rain or winter

red one looks like a new car 8) ..............if the gold one looks 1/2 as good it will be worth it, but is there any reason why you havnt gone for a Gti to restore though? it would be worth more in the long run i would have thought :dontknow:

gti's are far more common than the smaller engined golfs, people have wanted to keep the expensive, fast gti's in good condition, whereas back in the day a 1.1 or 1.3 wouldn't have been so well looked after as they weren't seen as being as 'special'

a 1.3 has as much right to a resto as a gti! & regardless of what model paul's car is, it is better for it to get a full resto than be left to deteriorate further.

i love my 1.3 :)
