still ant got mine yet  :banghead:  but at least i can legaly drive mine haha

mines bein gay, it started missin while i was coming bak from wakey an cut out in ackworth bp station the turd, foned mi mate up an by the time he got thru (1 1/2 hours later) it was fine??? it would tick over an start up mint but as soon as i went to set off cut out?? i thunk it could be the dizzy
(?130) or coil (?20) im not at all happy

Live near hudderfield and have a black Y reg cabby which you might see about and green A reg 5 door which has no engine in it at minute so thats not going anywhere.

I'm from Ponte just finishing off a fully glass out bare metal respray rebuild of a Mk1 campaign and trying to locate all the small bits and peices that I put some where safe. Should be on the road come summer but only if it's sunny, all the time cleaning and painting bits under her I'd be most upset if she got dirty.

Waiting for glass out then off fro body work and paint 6 months ago

No not a golf at the min proper skint. Gonna be a long time till I get another one. Was gonna get a 1.1, nearly got one but am gonna wait an save like chuff for a year or more. Might wait 18 month till my loan is paid off, and then I will be 21 and can get another loan out an get a GTi

I couldnt afford to run the GTi was costing me too much as I owed my dad some money an stuff

yeah running costs can and do get silly mate, mine needs a few bit's well more than a few probs lookin about ?1500 to get it how it should be.

looking at it realisticly i'd be better off doing an engine swap or just get shut an start again, i really dont wanna sell though.

plus ive been offered a mk5 gti lump so ive still got a last resort. might get another ?30 run around an give the golf a heart bypss in the summer

Sell it an get a tinner, and a ratter to run around in, ya know it meks sense. Do the tintop up over the next few month. I'm just gonna wait a year an half an get another loan to get a beast :twisted:

Got a back wheel from scrapers instead

Fancy doing me a favour? Am sure I got a hole somewhere in the back floor pan on the drivers side as I got a rate puddle there. Fancy putting it up on ramps for me so can take a look :wink:  :mrgreen:

cheers pete was guna say same bout urs.
pulled the rear plastic panel off yest whilst do a mini service and clean luks mint mite pull in ur car park tmoro so u can hav a look…or wud that not go down well wi boss etc? and it waqsnt as easy as urs must have been for you…them grommits are a nitemare to get out ended up with an inch long scratch wen screw driver slipped argh
