London Volksfest (Essex) July 15th

Let me know if you want the club banner and  merchandise (well, what's left of it) pretty quick. I've just returned from GTI Festival, we sold loads of stuff there so we only have 1 mug and 2 polo shirts left. Oh, and all the baseball caps, strangely they're not selling? Also I have a wallpaper pasting table which was kindly donated by someone, remind me and I'll peel off the laminated sheets with price list and other club info, I'll send those too but I won't send the table!

What's the drag strip like at London Volksfest?

From memory, not to bad.  Didn't hear any complaints about it atall last year.  Fast enough for a sub 10sec run

It's no Santa pod, surface similar to the one at gti inters but in much better condition and less stoney.  They have the proper timing gear/christmas tree stage lights for print out sumaries etc.

Just checked it out, and logistically its a nightmare for me - its 220 miles away (Santa Pod is 165 miles from me). So I think my next strip visit will possibly be VW Action on 31 Aug-2 Sept. Has anyone noticed how VW Action clashes with Edition 38?

:doh: NO NO NO I've just noticed that the MOT on the car runs out today so shot up to the Garage to get done, it's failed on rear hand brake and brake pipes. I told the garage to get sorted, they say can't do until next Thursday  

fingers crossed I found another garage explained that I need it for Sunday, he's going to try for me.

Weather report has changed for Sunday now looking like rain!!!!???

The mk1 is back on the road, rear brake shoes, handbrake cables and brake pipes all done for ?150.

So bring on the sun for Sunday see you all then.
