mk1 16v conversion,mot'd and running in

got the car into my mates garage today and sorted the steering rack gaitors,the exhaust,my lights and my tracking.

Was very tired as id been up all night cleaning the new wheels. Swapped my old porsche rims off my passat for a set of BBS rs but they were pretty dirty

bit for the bacs and bit for the centres




backs were the worst bit but the previous owner used them as daily rims


cleaned up not to bad

pretty much,it goes a lot better without the exhaust blowing,its still real tight though so more running in required. Disconnected the wur as it was dribbling but now its a pig to start :dontknow: Gears are fine for a mk1 owner but a no-no for a car thief lmao

its so hard not to,superglue a brick under your pedal  :wink:

simone i got the old yellow shroud redone with a spare cylinder head at a local powdercoaters,its just a different type of powder than youd use for say a glossy powdered finish but im well liking the crackle black,the two bits coated cost 40quid

half past nine monday night to quarter to five tuesday morning lol then fitted them at 11am after i woke up,rubbing a bit but got stuck in with a bit ghetto rolling on tuesday night  :wink:
