The start of restoring my sick mk1
no mate mars red is out of the question as ive had to many red cars lol im thinking of blue not sure what shade yet but time will tell.
Heres a few more pictures
The picture below is the passenger side wing. I thought this was un repairable untill i took it off the car a few hours tlc should get it looking like new again

how did you get inside the top of the strut tower so smooth and clean looking? mines looks a bit flaky up there with rust and have used wire wheel to take it back as best i could

i used a small grinding stone on a dremal drill to do up inthe strut area

Yesterday evening and 20 mins the smorning and the rust was gone off the arch lip all i have to do now is bend the arch lip back to its original place primer it and thats another little job out of the way pictures will follow

i started stripping the paint off the front panel yesterday as my sisters mate couldent wait to give me a hand doing somthing to the golf so i decided to do the front panel as im working my way back on the car.

Looking good! Where did you get you heat gun from? I need one to strip the paint from my new back bumper.

well a few weeks have passed now since i last done any work to the mk1 as ive been busy doing other things so i decided to add a picture of a very small portion of parts and bits and bobs ive brought since ive owned the car (6 months).
