sweeeet, yeah deep dish steelies are absolutely grreat as tony the tiger would say, i'd go for it but mycar is currently (unintentionally) multi coloured and i've just bought some p slots to restore, but its a damn good look, nice choice mate, you get my vote.  :mrgreen:

It still drives fine, in fact acceleration is much faster, but higher motorway speeds gives much more vibration in the steering wheel.  But this stuff is obvious and I knew it when I bought them.  They're actually legal as the tread doesnt stick out at all, just looks very deceiving as the ride height is quite high. :?

Im not too fussed about top speed, keeps me from getting speeding tickets :mrgreen:
Plus it handles like nothing I've ever been in :twisted:
  I think the rear plate would draw the most negative attention :cry:

i had this when i had my 13" revolutions on
i did notice the difference amazingly in going through the gears and acceleration.
yeah top speed was too low on them
i agree about the handling too it does improve doesnt it

the police will find you alot more interesting now.
i got pulled over 4 times with the 13s on and never so far with the 14s that all wheels stick out further than the gti arches!

If these are Wellers, I've looked at these, they're pretty well priced too!

I was considering getting the centre section sprayed black and having the lip polished, although I guess that'd suit a black car better than a white on!!

Looks good though, always a fan of wide wheels!

They arent those wheels in the picture but I think they may be wellers, they have more G60 style holes in the centre which is why I liked em, those have round cut outs.  Heres a better pic of them:
