MK1 Golf DVD

Dear All,

I just happened to mention on another thread that I had a copy of Quentin Wilsons much acclaimed series, "The Car's the Star", featuring the MK1 Golf GTI. Being a motoring columnist for many years his knowledge of the MK1 Golf is acccurate and he gives amusing tales of his MK1 ownership. He puts Mike Brewer and Channel 4's Wheeler Dealers to shame. This episode must be about 10 years old now so was originally recorded on a VHS video tape but I recently had it transferred to DVD. The quality is not upto DVD standard, being a bit grainy but it's perfectly watchable and the sound is excellent. I also have some other MK1 Golf footage (not taken from youtube !) to supplement the programme.

So there you have it. I am putting up this thread to initially gauge peoples interest and will then produce a batch of DVD's.

Have this in VHS and it is one of the best GTi footage I have ever seen.

If it was on DVD I'd consider it too but is this way not illegal ?  :dontknow:

It is good isn't it. As for the legality of producing copies I'm no expert but wouldn't have thought there was a problem. If it was a genuine DVD I was bootlegging then yes I would say so but this is just TV footage.

I missed that one. Was that where he drove Drews car ?

Clarkson's Car Years basically used clips from Quentin Wilson's The Car's The Star. Drew's car is not featured in it.

Sadly it is illegal to copy and distribute copyrighted material without prior permission.
