just a little update,
just ordered my ecu, should be here within a week. Bens_cab could you email me the 7Psi map you have so i can have a look at it just to see what im up against!!! going to pick up my engine friday, so thats cuming out of the donor car on saturday!!!! this project has gone into overdrive recently!! more pics soon. keep you posted!

coming on strong now dude, i no its a bit early but have you thort about wheels???

ye im keeping my old wheels but getting the centres powder coated black and the lip around the edge is going to be polished. my mates dad owns superlite wheels, so he is doing me a good deal!! :wink:

UPDATE!!!!
been busy today and last night, ive finished one of my doors and its now in primer, the other is ready 4 primer but ive run out of time today, i went to the local motor factors and treated myself to a new gravity fed spray gun just to do the primer and the basecoat, only cost me 30 quid!!!! the engine is still in the donor car at the mo but i figured it might aswell stay in the mk4 till im ready for it. getting sprayed in 5 weeks (i hope :pray: )
but we will see, guna get the other door done monday as i have an easy day (not much work booked in) guna get the rest of the engine bay ready too on monday.

Its worth taking your time removing the engine from the donor car, making plenty of notes (I use duct tape on wires and pipes, with things written on it) and lots of photos from all different angles (all those pipes and wires obscure something, you might want to look at in future). Lots of people dive in and rip the engine out, only to wonder what's connected where, 3-4 months down the line!

Coming on sweetly, nice to see another 'hot' Golf.

ye thats the plan, to take lots of pictures and lable plugs and pipes. im not using the standard engine manegment so the engine harness is going to be cut up and only the plugs on the end will be used (injectors and stuff).
it should be nice when its finished, look out for it in the shows next summer!!!!!

looking good limke paul said just make a mental note of the pipes ect i didnt have that luxery my engine turned up on a pallet  :wink: and the wiring and pipe work in a potato bag

just a quick update before i go to bed……..
my LC-1 lambda controller arrived from the states today :cheer:  and the door poppers have come too, i went about fitting my soleniods into my doors this afternoon (had a quiet afternoon in work!!) managed to get the one done on the passenger door, looks tidy too! Guna get a few hours in tomorrow night and get the poppers in the pillars and the solenoid in the other door and trial fit the switches in to the bottom of the roll bar. Plan for the weekend is: do all the little finnishing touches on the body kit and hopefully  :pray: get most of it in primer by sunday night.

ive just bought a MINT and i mean MINT rear window frame and rubber from the states, only cost me 25 dollars!!!  :dance:  :dance: BARGAIN!!!!!

Ive been busy today!!! ive finally fitted my wing vent into the passenger side, and one of my mates persuaded me to cut the scuttle panel off the top!! looks wicked without it, makes the bay look a lot bigger!!

i LOVE this vent!!!! the air intake will sit just behind the vent, it will have enought suction to suck up small children!!!! (hense the mesh!!)
