How much do you know about Watercooled VW's ?

i got 12 but not happy about the bhp on a 8v gti mk2 as its 112bhp on a mk1 and 115bhp on a mk2 im i not right

1987 mk2 GTI 16V SOLD
Lots of mk3 gti's vr6's and a tdi all sold
1992 mk2 GTI 8V  runout edition sold then bought then sold the bought back and striped!
1990 mk2 GTI 8V in tornado red new car :)

I got 7 out of 20…Im pretty please with that ;)

Good quiz!

Got 10 :oops: ..also thought LT stood for "Light Truck"- seen it translated that way in some articles from the '70s (LT nut alert!!).Also found Mk2 Question strange!… I used to own a Derby so that was no prob :)   Second part of quiz much harder than first :banghead:

Why would LT stand for "Load Transport" :|

It's called an LT in Germany so surely it'll stand for something in German? :dontknow:

Don't mean to nitpick but if it's a quiz for 'anoraks'…………….

you're wrong.

 112bhp for 1.8 8v gti mk1 or mk2. torque was different though. 114/117 i think?

 i had my first vw (mk1) 15yrs ago.

 i got 7!  :oops:

Hi,
Apparently LT stands for "Lustransporter"- not sure the exact translation though??? can  anybody help?!!- says light truck on my camper road test pamphlet from 1977.

Love my LT28 even more than the golf….but there's no English owners club website for them.  Early ones thin on the ground also  :(

Malin, have you ever been on the Brickyard, it's a T25 (or T3 for the europeans out there :o ) forum but they've got a section on LT's on there.

My brother goes on it quite a lot and there's loads for T25's, though there's not that much for LT's :oops:

But for every person on there it gets bigger…………..
