Berkshire Meet Location

 right.. the pubs decided it doesn't serve steak bagette's after 5pm! what on earth is that about

anyway, think it might be a good move to find a pub a bit more central to everybody unless we're all happy with no steak bagette's and the distance we have to travel?  :dontknow:

be nice to have the Berkshire regional meet actually in Berkshire though

any thought's from you guys? preferences? suggestions on what you'd like to see from the regional meet?

Ohhh - anywhere closer to me - There's some really nice pubs on the Wallingford road north of Reading

Crazyquiff's Mk1 Golf Parts Emporium

www.golfmk1.co.uk - you know you want to….

Seems like a good idea!

Hope you don't mind me tagging along still, seeing as i'm really Hampshire

The J & H is a little close for me really (opposite problem to the rest of you!) - going the long way takes 15 minutes!!!!

What about Pangbourne? or as Crazyquiff has already mentioned out towards Wallingford..

everyone's welcome mate  :y:

don't know if everybody wants to PM me there's rough location and I'll locate a pub as best in the middle as I can?

Of course I'll have to check any suitable pubs out first for parking etc… that'll be a shame

I was going to suggest Pangbourne myself, as the Cross Keys there has just been taken over by a friend of mine.

They do excellent food, at a reasonable price, and they even do baguettes after 5pm

I'm easy, providing the drive there involves bendy roads, the bar staff are all very attractive blonds with leggy legs etc and they serve kronnenberg!! How about the honneypot???

Is there a pub at Goring? Been through there numerous times and never really paid any attention to the buildings?

There's quite a few but none that are particularly good IMO. There's also the Bull at Streatley but they serve rubbish beer…

Having said that I'd prefer most to the J&H.

Ok for the next meet (Jan 17th for anyone who's had a few   ) we'll stay at the current pub, I'll bring my laptop with some very nice map software

Plus it would be 'nice' to pick a pub that's in Berkshire, the county border is just outside caversham so would exclude goring etc
