strut braces good or not?

i dont agree with strut braces making your car more crash resistant. if anything, they would partialy transfir a side impact to the other turret, turning a potentialy repairable car into a paralellogram

ive felt the difference on track between having a front upper strut brace and having none on a Mk2. sure, you can make more difference with coilovers or other significant mods, but i still consider it to be a very cost effective and easy to install enhancement.
