Of COURSE they did, because that is what thieves do, Not content with running the risk of getting caught once they take the risk all over again by putting everything back as it was.

If it was a very elaborate practical joke…then I'm glad you have your car back.

Any way must toddle as I'm off out on the hoy with the fairies at the bottom of the garden. It's a full night planned, we're meeting the brothers Grimm at the pub by the gingerbread house. Peter pan is bringing some of his mates and then we are all off for a curry.

If they have found a hair then they will be able to submit it for DNA testing,   even better than a finger print.

I am sure that such audacious thieves will undoubtedly have committed recordable offences before and as such  be on the database.
