Wash it! Eerytime i washed mine it would drive better!!!

It needs treating like a human being, if you've picked up a camper he/she will be jealous straight away and start to feel neglected, hence all the problems. Mk1's are attention seeking little swines but if you treat them right you will benefit!!! :mrgreen:

Yep I worked with my trusty haynes manual that has seen better days but its my bible, the only thing that i have trouble with was the choke cable because i had to take the bottom of the dash out because the connection was to fiddly….! :wink:  Dont get me wrong it confused the hell out of me when i first started but with a little bit of patience and I did have to read the same things several times for it to make sense.. but i am very proud of myself….. :cheer:

  its not that hard, i had to read and re-read most things but if you read the sections as your doing them then it sort of slots into place, I did get my dad to double check what I'd done just for safety really and its chucking it down here aswell, I am soaked I work on a building site so I have mud up to my middle….Yuk :roll:

The trick is only do one thing at a time..or it will get really confusing and if you have long nails like me you can kiss them goodbye… :doh:

Peg - Oops, that counts me out - I have long finger nails and I am a computer software trainer, so I would probably have to do the work with my Marigolds on      (reeeeeellll sexy!).

Pricie - Whip us ladies into a frenzy  :twisted:  - will take more than just teasing you know  .  This is probably where Walt would like to join in (see his thread I want a dub chick).

Peg1 Im well impressed you do your car yourself, My hubby does most of the work on mine I do help I normally do all the running about getting parts and tools etc or I hold the torch if its dark!!

Did clean my engine all by myself earlier this year. and I always clean my car and my wheels myself (with my marigolds on or course dont want chipped anil polish)

And suprise suprise littlerolf would not start this morning!! No idea why thought the battery was flat again but the little glowing colour thing on it was green which apparantley means its ok! So I had to drive the Bertie (my camper)  to work!!! 1st time Ive driven it and its quite a mission all the Guys at work have been having a sit in it today. So littlerolf had better start to behave or he will be jelous when he get demoted to a weekend car!!!!

dont get me wrong i have loads to do still with tafy but because i love him i dont mind working on him, the people in my village just grin at me when they walk past as if to say still at it then….!But most men i have met wouldnt know what a spanner looks like never mind know how to use one….!  In fact they were spanners coming to think of it… :roll:

I'm afraid i love my car more than any man…..he doesnt leave the loo seat up, he doesnt have socks to wash and he never complains when i buy my sixth pair of shoes in one month…..PERFECT…. :cheer:
