Chaps and Chapesses,
I have the club banner.
I'll be setting off around midday today so I can bag my Retro spot, clean up (hopeing for more than one cold water tap outside this year!) and then relax in the bar!!!
For those of you who remember Gaydon last year,(I don't! ops: ) I'll not be having as much Stella on Saturday night!!
Dougie…. 'Yes'!
See you all there.

I just been past a couple of hotels in Telford and it was like all my christmas's had come in one fair swoop , in one hotel there was a line of 5/6 mk1's together and more sporadic parking at the others. I might get up a little earlier to get on the mk1 car park at Ultimate Dubs then get the mrs to pick me up for breakfast, though I'll have to ask her nicely :? .

Where was our inside stand?? i couldn't see it. Was it just me or was it difficult to differentiate btwn club stands?
was also disappointed with the outdoor parking area, there were 2 cars in it and only one car was occupied, owner in the car not looking too approachable.
I couldn't bring my baby to the show, with the odd new noises it was making i didn't want to risk her. also she would have overheated in the queue to get in! we arrived at the back of the queue at 11.45, we got parked at 12.
Whoever owns the pink cabby deserves a pint! i dislike the colour immensely but the car as a whole was fantastic! Well done that bod, i hope to vie for the crowd around it in about 2 years time lmao.

BEWARE KY05 UCO, blind and deaf white haired driver of red transit, avoid at all costs, he thinks running cars on to the verge is ok. i'm fine, car's fine, mood and make up not so good.

The mk1 owners inside stand was next to golf aheads (Scouse) trade stall in the far hall, I had trouble finding it to.
The outdoor parking wasn't helped by the fact the parking attendants and ticket issurs were not properly informed. I got in the area designated for mk1's at 8.30am but it was the same area that was being used for the cars for sale section .
Which car was the seemingly "unapproachable" guy sat in ?

eh, there was a guy and a chick in it, tbh i was more interested in the grey golf next to it with the air intakes on the bonet, it was the spitting image mine (minus mods) and in about the same nick lol
i had a wee poke about, the guy never got out of his car or looked interested in speaking to me, so me and boyf and mate moved on. it was possibly the same black cabby sat nest to it in your pic of outside.
i didn't even notice a cars for sale bit! wow observant!
aye the parking boys wouldn't have gotten a job at the Doune sports and classic car weekend that's for sure! no wonder there was a tailback with them in charge. the map they were handing out was super helpful too.
was a good show tho, gave me heaps of ideas for my baby i plan a scavenging hunt in the local scrappy next weekend!! hee hee!

It wasn't me then , the couple in the black cabriolet were from London, I know they hadn't had breakfast so maybe they were hungry , but I had a good natter with them earlier in the day and found them very nice. The grey cab is DougLove off here and mine was the black tin top ELJ 863Y and the blak tin top on the right isn't a member of the mk1 owners club, but hopefully will join up shortly

The black cabby owner, also had a fault with his alarm that had surfaced the moment he arrived in the car park, it had only been fitted that week, so that too may have been on his mind. Myself and the other tin top left around 2pm, sorry I missed you, catch you at another show soon
As we left there was 3 more mk1's coming out of the main car park, it was nice to see 4 mk1's in front of me heading towards the M54

I'm not sure if the lighting in the hall is making it look Helios Blue, I have a suspicion that it's Black, the lighting has played havoc with loads of photos I've seen from different sites, Dan will vouch the lights made his Mars red look orange
